Carroll and East win overall UIV U23 contest in Dortmund - The U.S. Madison pairing of Guy East and Austin Carroll completed their overall victory in the UIV U23 Dortmund three-day on Sunday. The victory gave USA Cyclingandrsquo;s recently initiated Madison Program the first major success for its newly-revamped program. East and Carroll are scheduled to contest two more UIV races; Munich Nov. 6-8 and Gent Nov. 18-23. The pair will also compete in the UK Revolution on Nov. 15 and several local races in Belgium before returning home to evaluate progress and build toward the future. ...

Carroll and East win first day of Dortmund U23 UIV - After a seventh place overall finish at the Amsterdam UIV 3-Day, the first winter leg of the amateur series, the team of Guy East and Austin Carroll bounced back to win the first night of the Dortmund U-23 UIV three-day. The pair will contest two more days in Dortmund and try to wrap up a win in the 3-day overall before continuing on to Munich and Gent as they pursue a high ranking in the season classification for the UIV....

USA Cycling Madison Camp wraps-up in California - USA Cycling is happy to announce the success of its Madison Clinic which marked the official beginning of its U23 Madison Program. The instructional camp took place at the ADT Event Center Velodrome, Oct 7-9 with seventeen individuals participating in both classroom and riding sessions. U.S. masters claim 12 medals through four days of track world's - Through ten sessions of the 2008 UCI Masters Track World Championships, Americans have so far come away with 12 medals - six gold, four silver and two bronze - courtesy of nine athletes. Of the nine medalists thus far, Annette Williams is responsible for a quarter of the U.S. medal count, winning gold, silver and bronze respectively in the women's 45-49 individual pursuit, 500-meter time trial and scratch race. Lawrence Nolan has also given the U.S. a pair of gold medals with world titles in the men's 50-54 individual pursuit and scratch race. Elite track nationals conclude with final 10 titles - The 2008 USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships concluded on Sunday as the final 10 Stars-and-Stripes jerseys were claimed over the weekend.
